1. Policy Statement

Alanazi Rent a Car is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, customers, and members of the public who may be affected by our activities.

We recognize our legal and moral responsibilities under Saudi Arabian laws and regulations to manage health, safety, and welfare risks associated with our operations.

The purpose of this policy is to:

  • Prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill health.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), General Directorate of Traffic (Muroor), and Civil Defense regulations.
  • Provide safe vehicles, equipment, and working conditions.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All Alanazi Rent a Car employees (drivers, operations staff, administration, and management).
  • All vehicles owned, leased, or operated by the company.
  • All activities undertaken in connection with chauffeur and rental services.

3. Roles & Responsibilities

Management

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labor, traffic, and health & safety regulations.
  • Provide safe and roadworthy vehicles with regular maintenance and inspections.
  • Conduct driver training in defensive driving, first aid, and emergency response.
  • Provide protective equipment where required.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective measures.

Employees (Drivers & Staff)

  • Follow company health & safety rules and Saudi traffic laws at all times.
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections (tires, brakes, seatbelts, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, etc.).
  • Report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or accidents immediately.
  • Avoid the use of mobile phones or distractions while driving.
  • Refrain from drugs, alcohol, or fatigue-inducing practices during work.

Customers & Passengers

  • Wear seat belts at all times.
  • Follow driver’s safety instructions during the journey.

4. Risk Management

Alanazi Rent a Car will:

  • Carry out regular risk assessments of vehicles, routes, and working conditions.
  • Ensure vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
  • Plan routes to minimize risk and ensure driver rest periods.
  • Implement a driver fatigue management system.
  • Provide emergency contact procedures and roadside assistance support.

5. Training & Awareness

  • All drivers will undergo induction training covering health & safety, company policies, and Saudi traffic regulations.
  • Regular refresher training will be provided on safe driving, emergency handling, and customer care.
  • Toolbox talks and safety meetings will be held monthly.

6. Emergency Procedures

  • Emergency numbers (Saudi Civil Defense – 998, Police – 999, Ambulance – 997, Company Control Room) must be available in all vehicles.
  • Drivers must follow company protocol in case of accidents: ensure safety of passengers, notify emergency services, inform management.
  • Fire extinguishers and first aid kits must be maintained and checked monthly.

7. Monitoring & Review

  • Safety performance will be monitored through incident reports, vehicle checks, and driver performance reviews.
  • Accidents will be recorded, investigated, and corrective measures taken.
  • This policy will be reviewed annually or whenever there are significant changes in operations or legislation.
